What is the process for procuring additional data capacity when the licensed terabyte quota is exhausted?

When the initially purchased terabyte (TB) entitlement is fully consumed — due to organizational data growth, the onboarding of new repositories, or the extension of discovery coverage to previously unlicensed data sources (file shares, cloud storage, databases, endpoints, or collaboration platforms) — additional capacity can be procured through a straightforward mid-cycle process:

  • Top-up procurement: Additional TB capacity can be purchased at any point during the active license term without requiring a full renewal or contract renegotiation. New capacity is added to the existing entitlement and takes effect upon commercial confirmation.
  • Co-termination: Supplementary TB blocks purchased mid-cycle are co-terminated with the existing license period, maintaining a single unified renewal date. Pro-rated pricing applies for the remaining term.
  • Proactive capacity monitoring: Scanned volume consumption is visible in real time through the Siberson Veriket management console, with configurable threshold alerts (e.g., 75%, 85%, 95%). Organizations are advised to monitor utilization proactively and engage Siberson or their channel partner before exhaustion to avoid any gap in discovery and classification coverage.
  • Volume tier reassessment: A top-up purchase is an appropriate moment to reassess whether the organization's data growth trajectory warrants moving to a higher volume tier — which may unlock improved per-TB pricing and more favorable renewal economics.
  • Scope expansion review: Capacity top-ups also offer an opportunity to review whether additional connectors, data sources, or advanced classification engines should be added to the entitlement alongside the new capacity.
